Antinomians Anonymous
The Twelve Steps of Antinomians Anonymous
1. I was powerless over sin — my life had become miserable — plagued by guilt, shame, and fear of being discovered.
2. I came to believe that only God could restore me to righteousness.
3. I made a decision to turn my will and my life over to the care of God. I read THE LOGIC OF PAUL IN ROMANS and am convinced that it is true doctrine and the answer to my prayers.
4. I made a searching and fearless moral inventory of my life.
5. I admitted to God, to myself, and to another human being the exact nature of my deception and the lawlessness that it caused. I sought a group that would help me. I found it.
6. We are a group entirely ready to have God remove all defects of character through the way of the cross.
7. We humbly ask Him to remove our shortcomings by the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit.
8. We encourage one another to consider all persons we have personally harmed, and we are willing to make amends to them all.
9. We encourage one another to confess our sins to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
10. We encourage one another daily to take personal inventory and, when we are wrong, promptly admit it. We confess our sins to one another that we may be healed.
11. We seek through prayer, meditation, and any other means of grace to improve our consciousness of God, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry it out.
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps and our fellowship, we try to carry this message to antinomian friends and relatives, and to practice the LOGIC in all our affairs, learning to love one another and all people, thus fulfilling the law of Christ.
